Well, well, well. There's just more and more surprises everyday.
I've found Fawkes again. Or rather, he's found me. It's a pleasure to know that he's still around, even after all this time. Everything about the world can change, but there will always be some things that remain constant.

I'm thinking of going back to Hogwarts. I believe there's some work going on there and I'd like to help out if that's the case.

I apologize for my absence over the past few weeks. I've been rather busy with a certain... shall we say "research project" that I've taken it upon myself to look into. My efforts up to now have been primarily fruitless which, I must admit, disappoints me somewhat. Though, as the ever-eloquent Robert South said, “defeat should never be a source of discouragement but rather a fresh stimulus".
Now, to more serious matters. I'm afraid I've been out of contact while I was away and now I've gotten an owl telling me that Ariana is in trouble. What happened? Is there anything else of note that I missed?
